Football Information - Practice Requirement & Parent Meeting
Practice requirements
a) must have a GPA of 2.0
b) must have a current physical

Parent meeting for all fall sports will occur at Joliff Middle school on Monday July 28th at 7:00pm

Varsity candidates will meet at 4:30pm in the lockerroom at the stadium. Be on time. Bring your own water jug or cooler.

Football Announcement - Practice Start & Fundraiser Date
Varsity practice will start at 5pm on Wednesday, July 30th.  Players must have a physical to participate.

The Bruins' fundraiser with Varsity Gold is on August 2, 2008.

Football Weightlifting Hours - For April and May
April and Mayd Thurs. 6:45 am and 3:45 pm

• Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays - 6:45 am and 3:45 pm
• Tuesdays - 3:45 JV's only
• Fridays - 7:00 am speed training
• Memorial day off

Western Branch Beats Bayside 23-8
Western Branch ended the standout high school career of Bayside quarterback E.J. Manuel, knocking the Florida State recuit and his Marlins teammates out of the Eastern Region playoffs with a 23-8 home triumph.

The Bruins, who advance to face Beach District champion Salem in a Division 6 semifinal next week, sacked Manuel eight times, forced a safety and returned a punt for a touchdown. It was Western Branch's 10th victory in 11 games this seaosn and one of its best defensive efforts.
